Heather Wise, MPH is a worksite wellness consultant, certified integrative nutrition coach, certified yoga instructor and author of A Gut Feeling: Conquer Your Sweet Tooth by Tuning Into Your Microbiome.
With a background in public health and disease prevention, Heather brings both evidence-based strategy and whole-person wellness to organizations seeking sustainable, effective wellness initiatives. She has over 10 years experience as a wellness consultant supporting statewide prevention initiatives and corporate wellness programs and has worked with over 300 companies to improve the well-being of their employees through strategic worksite wellness initiatives.
Through this work, she has seen firsthand how emotional well-being, physical health, and healthcare costs are deeply interconnected — and how proactive engagement can meaningfully shift outcomes.
Her approach is grounded in microbiome research and mindfulness-based stress reduction based interventions, emphasizing that how we treat our bodies — and ourselves — directly impacts digestive health, immune function, mental resilience, and long-term disease risk.
Heather believes physical health goes beyond diet and exercise — it is deeply connected to mental fitness, emotional resilience, and how we sustainably show up for our families, friends, and colleagues each day.
She has worked within pioneering preventive health organizations including the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Division of Prevention and Wellness, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Cigna Heathcare and taught workshops at Harvard Medical School. She holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health and completed advanced training in integrative nutrition through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
